Retro weeks: Taste the 90’s at Pivnice U Čápa!

It's time to throw on your neon windbreaker, style your mullet, and dust off your coupon book. Pivnice U Čápa is bringing back the wild vibes straight from the Czech nineties, along with a selection of forgotten recipes that modern foodies might find outdated, but we know you absolutely love!

Starters fit for a businessman in a suit two sizes too big are definitely ham rolls filled with horseradish mousse which will kickstart the whole retro menu. If you're looking for something less spicy, you'll definitely fall in love with the cheese roulade filled with ham, egg, and bell pepper.

As for soup, we've prepared a timeless classic in the form of hearty tripe soup with fresh marjoram, which will fix you up after a night spent celebrating investments in Harvardské fondy.

The main courses are like cut out straight from the pages of Warm Dish Recipes, a cookbook which held an honorable place in every restaurant kitchen.

Some hate it, others adore it, anyway chicken breasts with peach and cheese will definitely delight fans of iconic Czech retro flavors. They come with fried potato croquettes and a vegetable garnish as fancy as in Hotel Praha.
